Due to their immature digestive system and their diet, the breath of a puppy can smell like coffee or chocolate. This porter is loaded with roasted malts that have the wonderful smell of chocolate and coffee. This reminds us of our loving companions as we drink and reflect. Our 2014 Spokespuppy is Henrietta, owned by Brenton & Andrea McCoy.

Bottle shared by Pilsnertest, many thanks! Pours very dark brown with dirty, white head. Chalky aroma and taste with bits of chocolate, wood, scorched earth and a bit of liquorice. Pretty light and watery, lacks complexity.

Bomber. Clear dark burgundy-brown pour with a tall tan head with OK retention. Notes of roasted malts, chocolate, salted caramel, toffee, light hop bitterness and a very subtle metallic bitterness in the end. A nice sessionable porter, quite well balanced and relatively light. --- Beer merged from original tick of Puppy's Breath on 02 Jan 2017 at 23:20 - Score: 7
