750ml wired cork bottle from Peninsula Beverages Co. Black-brown cola colour, short-lived foamy beige head and aroma of roasty malt, smoke, ashy, nutty, earthy. Taste is tart, appley, fleshy, fruity, with hints of malt, caramel, roast, oak, funk and some drying acidity. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying appley acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Pours dark brown with a large quickly fading head.Nose shows apple, cinnamon, cloves.Flavours include more cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, soft roasted malt, liquorice. A slight medicinal note. And hints of sparkling white wine.Very high carbonation.

Very pretty bottle. Caged with a long cork. Dark brown. A light tan head retreats to the rim but persists there. Aroma of mildly funky apples and their skins, brioche, mocha. Somewhat earthy. Spritzy. Hard to say whether it's slightly tart or not (but no). Tannin & bitterness that builds a bit at the end. Yeasty brioche. Some brine w the roast. Glamorous. Deep & intriguing with fine balance. V expensive, but there is an element of trust.
