Nut Brown Ale, a gorgeous ale with a predominantly nutty, caramel malty flavour which gives a robust and full bodied bitterness complimented by aromas of butterscotch, vanilla and a slight fruity after taste. Delicious !!

500ml bottle. Deep brown appearance, good off white head. Decent trad brown, nice nutty malty brown bread goings on. Not bad at all.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a very dark brown with a reddish hue and a one finger creamy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, berries, caramel and bread. Taste has berries, caramel and a little more bread. Some sweetness on the finish. Very malty with no bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Ok but was expecting a bit more if I’m honest. A bit bland and lifeless.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at a market in Stoke Newington. Pours clear copper with a modest, frothy khaki head. Basic, sweet, but very drinkable, with toasted malts, caramel, brown bread, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more toasty malts, caramel, nips of leaves and butterscotch. Rather pleasant.
