Crisp, light and refreshing - our German - inspired Kolsch is right in the heart of the style with a touch of textural Vienna malt.

Aromas are malt and bread. Flavors are similar to nose, add honey sweet, partially balanced with carbonation and bitter. Honey sweetness gets in the way though.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a transient white head. Aroma is bready with a citrus note. Med body or so. Flavor is biscuit with citrus and an apple note. Dry. Lightly bitter. More to it than expected - a heavy duty kolsch.

2 week old pint can A: Crystal clear brassy gold with little head or lacing. S: Heavy on sweet apple with faint herbs and grains struggling but failing to keep up. T: Surprisingly considering the nose, the taste is dry at first and lightly bitter with piney herbal hops as the apple notes join subtly. M: Crisp and not too light but lightly dry and refreshing. Oily finish. O: Looks flat and smells good but too sweet. Tastes delicious though.
