Canned, 330 ml shared with MiroB, JFK10000 and Raleigh. Black with brownish head. Chocolate, cocoa, nice roastiness, bourbon, vanilla, some medium sweetness.

I cannot recall where this beer came from? Consumed at home Saturday 23rd December 2023 we had Kolhapuri Kaala Lamb Sukka and also preparing foodie things for tomorrow, watching Dear Child on Netflix. Pours shark eye black with a tan head. Aroma starts off with bourbon funes, but there is big chocolate vibe here also, barrel ageing works really well in fact in complete contrast to the Blech Brut barrel aged mess I had last night Bourbon clearly comes through but it's well integrated, bitter cocoa, oaky vanilla, dark molasses and a little bit of good quality liquorice. Really good beer.

Can at home, picked up from HOTM online, 19/12/23. Black with a good sized lasting khaki head. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, bourbon, figs, prunes, toffee, cake mix, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate, bourbon, caramel melt, light spice, toffee, roasted bite, dried fruit rinds, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost offered. Solid well balanced and easy drinking BA impy.

330ml can. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma contains a lot of bourbon, dark fruits, liquorice, chocolate. Taste also features a lot of bourbon barrel, beautiful oaky notes, liquorice, toffee, booze-soaked dried/dark fruits, dark chocolate, dark sugars, pleasantly warming booze in the finish. Full bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel. That's a huge improvement over regular Death. Fantastic use of barrels.

On tap at Northern Monk Refectory, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of dark sugars, bourbon barrels, and a little hearty oat character. Flavour is very rich, with lots of bourbon barrel character, dark sugars, oats, and some roast. Really nicely put together, with solid barrel character. Excellent.
