0.375 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', best before May 2045. Hazy, orangeish golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity, quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, gooseberry, horse blanket, oak and hints of vinegar. Minimally sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, quite funky taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, some white wine, hay, horse blanket, oak, some apple and a touch of white pepper, followed by a medium long, quite tart, gently woody-dry finish. Medium body, quite astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely fruit-forward Geuze, very refreshing, excellently balanced.

Flaska från Etre Gourmet. Lite mörkare färg än en gueuze brukar ha. Magisk doft med så mycket fat, funk, jäst och syrlig stenfrukt. Smakbilden är harmonisk med ganska snäll syra, mycket fat men eftersmaken för ganska snabbt och ålder kanske tagit ut sin rätt. Men riktigt gott.

375 ml bottle. Pours a deep orange/copper color with light head. Aromas of stoned fruit, leather, farmyard, berries, and sharp malts. Flavors follow same with a complex softness, which I guess is the result of the 4,5,6 and 7 year lambic in the mix. Excellent .

Small rim over unclear orange-ochre beer, lively bubbled. Wet oakwood, horseblanket, farmyard. Lactic acid, but also a point of acetic acid. Mushrooms. Sherry-like flavour with sandalwood, horseblanket, pencil graphite, nutshells, lemon. Acidburn and -thinning, good carbonation, lipsmacking acidity. Tastes more of sherry than recently sampled sherry infused lambic. One to be tried! The lambicchoice is staggering.

375mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a very large white head. Well, a blend of 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-year-old lambics eh — that's a first. Nose is unlike any gueuzes I've had — tons of barnyard, old furniture, leather, wood, some tart citrus, and oxidation — best to let this decant a while. Flavour is sublime, with extremely complex barnyard funk, wood, old furniture, citrus tang, and nice sherry-like oxidation. Damn, this has complexity unlike what I've encountered before. Wonderful.

Bottle. Clear dark amber with fizzy very short lasting head. Sweet malts and oak, dried apricot, vin jaune, dry Sherry, caramel, a bit earthy, bitter twigs. It's quite complex but at the same time it's also very strong and in your face. You really get the old lambics here. It's not very sour, but has a full body with sparkly carbonation almost like cider. This is interesting and better than some other Den Herberg offerings, but it's also very heavy and not for everyday drinking.
