We got together with our old pals from Toronto, Bellwoods, when in town to brew a Trans Atlantic take on a Pacific Ale.

Brewed with our favourite, Bere Barley, along with malted and flaked oats, we made a twist on our own Pale Ales, hopped with large quantities of Waimea and HBC856 hops.

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of candied citrus, pine. Taste of candied citrus, grapefruit, mandarin, piney bitterness. Medium bodied. Very nice pale.

Can from Great Grog. Pours hazy yellow gold with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of bread and orange. Taste has some light tropical fruit notes. Light bitter finish.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that fades. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of melon and orange. Flavour of grapefruit and mandarin. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Fresh and juicy.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy or fairly solid, yellow to orange. Fluffy white head. Nose - orange and bready. Taste - orange, melon, mango skin and still some bread. Palate - light bodied, creamy and tangy middle and a tangy dry finish. Overall - hits the mark!
