We teamed up with our pals in Denmark at Væskebalancen to brew this 5.2% spelt pilsner brewed with a barley variety called Pearl (not pearl barley) and Perle hops. This is another super crisp pils with a good amount of malt character and hefty bitter backbone. De-lic-ious ??

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours crystal clear yellow with a nice frothy white head. The aroma is green, grass, leafy, herbal, grain, cracker and sweet rich tea biscuit. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, nip of bitterness, grassy, herbal, floral edge, peppery spice, straw, cracker and biscuit with a drying, grassy finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp, snappy and quenching. Nice lagerbier.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - very pale yellow with a thin snow white head. Nose - corn, lemon and oatmeal. Taste - corn, bitter salad, kale and brown bread. And the bitter green salad returns on the end. Palate - light bodied initially, then builds a bit, then green, bitter finish. Overall - definitely distinct as a pilsner rather than any other lager style, has the bitterness. Pretty good.
