Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and red wine. Flavor is very sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 270624

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, minor beige head. Aroma is chocolaty tones with some red wine, alcohol, toffee and some slight tartish wooden tones. Flavour is mudcake with some, alcohol, nutty and red wine tones.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, small head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and red wine. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate cake, fudge and soy sauce, oaky red wine. Warming mid bitter finish with some syrup. Has a lot of pleasant elements, but also unnecessary sweetness and some cakeyness.

ABV: 14.1%. Clear dark black colour with virtually no head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, wood, oak, vinous, tobacco, wood, oak, red wine. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, cocoa, chocolate, dark malt, smoke, wood, oak. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy - syrupy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240331]
