Keg at 73 Enid Street, 03/07/24. Hazed orange with a lasting white cap. Nose is lemon rind, herb, wheaten bread dough, hedgerow, grass. Taste comprises grass, herb, lemon rind, mellow sorachi, citric tinged straw, light white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid for the style.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with huge, frothy, heavily osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, minimally grassy and tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, slightly wheaty malty background, notes of lemon, kumquat, some mango, some dankness. Taste is citrusy fruity, slightly herbal-nutty hoppy, widely disguised wheaty malty basis, initial notes of lemon, kumquat, later more and more coconut. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Very hoppy, nice citrus flavours; Sorachi Ace remains a problematic hop variety with restricted scope of application - OK.

Draught, half-pint, shared with Finn at North Westward Ho. Filmy layer, a haze of wheat to a grey-golden body, stable white head. Moderate grass-grainy nose. Yeasty fruitiness to the taste character added by grain and lemon. Wheat fruity ending. So and so. (Manchester, 24.03.2024).

Can. Bru-1, Azacca, Sorachi Ace and Vic Secret hops. Palate is light and mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Airy malts, thin but doing their job. I wouldn't normally buy a wit but these days I will take my Sorachi Ace fix wherever I can get it. Crisp pine into obvious Sorachi, slightly herbal and slightly bitter floral lemon. One of the most distinctive tasting hops around, don't know why more brewers don't use it. Really good support from the other hops providing crisp bright citrus. Fair bit of mandarin and tangerine. Azacca coming through on the back end with a bright orange lemon pep. Crisp piney fruity finish that shows more lemon and a little hop spice. There is a vague notion of some Wit like esters but this really drinks like an APA and a very pleasing one at that.

Keg @ North Westward Ho, Manchester. Hazy yellow-gold with a small head. Citrus heavy aroma and taste, some tasty grains in the mix too enhancing its tropical notes.

Delt med Rune. Gusjegrågul. Filmskum. Laktose/sitrusaroma. Smaken tørket frukt. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning. More a NEIPA than a wit.
