Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 24/12/24. Black with a tan cap that thins to the edge. Nose is punchy rum, molasses, herb, black peppery spice, dark malts, charr, light perfume. Taste comprises Turkish delight, chocolate, perfume, raspberry jam, modest barrel, dark malts. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alchol. A little messy this one and far from cohesive ... flabby in places, overly sweet and perfumed and lacking any rum punch. So so.

15th December 2024 Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles don't live long enough to ever suggest they might form a head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth dark chocolate malts, very slightly sweet. Any sweetness is offset by a dry and slightly bitter peanut vibe underneath. The jelly, or jam as we like to call it in Blighty, is a one note berry candy affair. I'm struggling to pick up much barrelling at all. It drinks relatively easy for the abv but, overall feels like a disharmonious and clunky affair. A shame because, on paper, it sounded like a winner.
