Serves more as a cider, with some B.C.'H'. Clear metallic golden beverage. Sweet tea with honey. I'm really getting some apple/cider too. Quite aromatic. Again apples, but also more than a hint of "aged" flavour - not really oxydized, but aged. It's alos like rather sweet cider, not sparkling. THe cognac barrel aging is plausible, giving indeed a faraway cognac flavour backthroat, however... Berliner Weisse? This? In the aftertaste, the "aged" flavour gets a marked dry sherry character. Flat as a pancake, slick. Almost velvety MF. Quite interesting beer. I have to mention that were I given this blind, I would have guessed cider. Txs to Stef!

37,5cl Fles van Oedipus webshop. Troebel diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Veel gist en aanverwante bijsmaakjes, hout, licht zuur, hint van cognac en vanille, helaas teveel brouwfoutjes of smaakafwijkingen voor mij. Medium body.

Fles gedeeld door Inoven, gedronken tijdens etentje. Het is een goudgeel licht troebel bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een aroma van druif en cognac. De smaak is wrang, fris zuur met tonen van groene appel en cognac in de afdronk.

Flesje gedronken tijdens etentje. Goudgeel licht troebel bier met weinig schuim dat meteen weg trekt. Aroma is wijnachtig en licht fruitig. Smaak is zuur. De zure smaak blijft lang hangen.

0.375 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', bottled in April 2021. Hazy, golden with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently sourish, rather fruity, a bit vinous and minimally funky aroma of lemon, peach, white grapes, some sauerkraut and light hay. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, rather fruity, a bit vinous taste of lemon, oak, cognac, white grapes, some dill and a touch of peach, followed by a short, gently tart, slightly woody, minimally funky finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty Sour Saison, nicely balanced, fits well into Oedipus' range of sour and wild beers.
