Lidl Billigbier.

Bread yeast and light florals. Touch of lime. Finishes a little foul, but with some tang. Bottle.

For a bog-standard supermarket wheat beer, this isn't too bad - somewhat less cloudy than expected, just a hazy pale gold with a frothy white head, but with the anticipated sweet banana, wheat and yeast aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy and a little grainy, there's a touch of harshness in the initial flavour, but it smooths out to become a sweet fruity number, with wheaty malt, banana and candy sweetness and a touch of dry bitterness in the finish

Can. Hazy orange, with a white head that was small. Light and typical wheat beer aroma of banana, clove, grainy malts and a hint of citrus. A bit thin in the mouth, with a yeasty edge, more spice and a hint of banana, leading to a gentle finish. In the ballpark, and perfectly gluggable on a hot autumn evening.

Barwa złota, zamglone, piana biała, średnio obfita, średnio trwała. W aromacie goździk, mało banana, lekka guma balonowa. W smaku wytrawne, mało podbudowy pszenicznej, mała kwaskowość, goździk, znikomy banan. Wysycenie średnie, ciało niskie. Takie se.

0.5 l can from a local Lidl store I guess. Hazy darker golden to orange, medium lasting creamy off-white head. Mostly malty, grainy, slightly grassy, banana appears. Plastic or smoke phenols. Flavour is metallic, bland, grainy with a hint of banana and citrus. Smooth texture, even creamy thin body, moderate carbonation, light finish. Not all that unpleasant.

0.5l can. The label only says Wheat Beer. Hazy orange body with a thin white head that collapses quickly. Both the aroma and the taste shows typical hefeweissen characteristics (banana, peach, cloves) only a bit turned down. The body is watery, the finish is short. Not bad, only a bit too weak in every aspect compared to the best Bavarian examples of this style.
