Copper colour with thin head. Grainy base with very fruity, sweet vinous overtones. The barrel comes through strongly.

0.33 l can from 'Bierloods22', best before December 2026. Hazy, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, gently vinous, moderately yeasty aroma of moscatel, orange peel, honey and hay. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather vinous and slightly fruity taste of moscatel, orange peel, honey, hay and grains, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a bit woody finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Benefits a lot from the barrel, would have been quite a monotonous affair otherwise, I guess. Not that great, still quite enjoyable.
