Can shared by Joen. Opaque dark brown color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, soft roast and sweetness. Flavor is malts, light bourbon, sweet, quite alcoholic. Medium body, decent carbonation.

Can from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours clear dark cola brown with small light brown head. Aroma is intense roasted malt, dried dark fruit, oak barrel, vanilla, liquorice syrup, dark chocolate, soy sauce and Vegemite. Taste is very sweet, medium bitter, faint acidic and light salty. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with intense and lasting notes of roasted malt, ground coffee, liquorice, dried dark fruits, oak barrel, red wine, blackberry marmalade, and vanilla. Very rich and quite complex but still in good balance.

Can. Humongous thanks to Cloin for this one.... almost clear deep amber beer, a few tan bubbles are struggling to form a head. The palate is smooth and very slightly viscous, quite the minor attribute for this beer. Very good chocolate Malteasers, rich dark and milk chocolate. A mild boozy spice and some fruity bourbon barrel.. Airy semy dry finish. Fabulous Bourbon Barrel Aged Malteasers. Could drink a ton of this.

Can at home, from Beerdome online, 22/12/23. Deep mahogany brown with a beige cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is ripe fruits, bourbon, spice, prunes, toffee, dates, molasses, candied brown sugars. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, caramel, bourbon soaked oak, ripe dried fruit esters, light spice, kiss of booze, toasted brown sugars. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a balanced rising boost. Solid BA barley wine ... well balanced with good barrel character.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Kulenborgse Bierhandel. Dark brown with an off-white head. Dark caramel aroma with raisins and whisky notes. Sweet taste with a sweet boozy finish. Nice barley wine.

Can. A dark chestnut brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, roasted malt, and whiskey. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, caramel, wood, and whiskey, leading to a dry finish.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in August 2023. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, whisky, vanilla and light chocolate. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly boozy taste of molasses, raisins, prunes, big whisky, vanilla and some chocolate, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently boozy finish. Full body, smooth, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Delicious brew, great base beer even if very sweet, superb barrel-aging. Massive beer.

Can 330ml (DBH)
Dark ruby colour, not much head. Sweet aroma with raisins and figs. Medium-bodied. Sweet, malty, some oak and vanilla. Then raisins and figs. You could say that this is barrel aged Gouden Carolus by its aroma and taste. Good.
