Artio is the Celtic Bear goddess, who keeps the balance of nature. She can assume the shape of a woman or a fierce Brown Bear.

To reflect this combination of strength and elegance, we named our Imperial Brown Ale after her. Brewed with English special malts and American hops, it displays hints of caramel, coffee and a pleasant smooth finish. A good beer for a winter's night.

Can. I love a good Brown Ale like this. Malty and nutty with caramel, some cocoa, chocolate, hint of dried fruit. Medium sweet with a mild to medium bitterness. Good one. Touch of hazelnut.

33cl blik. Iets mistig kastanjebruine kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Caramel, toffee, hazelnoot, heel licht gebrand, harsige hop, licht bloemig, bitterzoet, vleugje honing, harsig bittere finish. Medium body, zacht mondgevoel. Smaakvol, deed me bij vlagen aan Hibernation Ale denken.

Bruinig, caramellig, notig met zoete coating. Erg hoppig. Dunne black ipa met hoog abv. Beetje vreemd drankje maar smakelijk doordrinkbaar. Onnodig hoog abv.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in October 2022. Clear, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty aroma of chocolate, nuts and caramel. Quite sweet, malty, slightly roasty and gently bitter taste of caramel, chocolate and nuts, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good for the style, but I just don't dig it. It lacks the roast flavours of a Stout and has zero fruitiness, it's simply not appealing to me.

Blik 3/24 uit de Beer in a Box adventskalender. Thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Hey is een Oranje bruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout, caramel en koffie. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout, koffie en hop.
