0.75 l bottle from 'Drinks & Gifts'. Almost clear, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, smoked ham, raisins, nuts and prunes. Gently sweet, malty, slightly bitter, moderately smoky, a little roasty taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, raisins, smoked ham and prunes, followed by a short, gently bitter, roasty finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent, chocolaty Doppelbock with a subtle touch of smoke.
