Opaque colour, tiny brownish head. Sweet toasted apple-cognac aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Chocolate, sweetness and cognac in the nose. Some alcohol. Ok sipper.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark, dark mahogany, close to black, with a rather minimal, beige head. Roasty and slightly caramelly with notes of cognac, dark fruits and dark chocolate. Smooth, slightly boozy and pleasantly warming. Quite enjoyable.

Dark pour and a small head. Some phenol in the aroma. Decent sweetness and an ok carbonation level The flavor was far better than the aroma. Dark malt, chocolate, oak, chocolate and fruity flavor [Bottle at Komlefjorden 23]

Bottle. Tested both red wax and white wax. Didn’t find any difference. A dark brown one, almost clear, with a small, dense light beige head. Roasted malts, coffee and some dark chocolate in the aroma. Cellary dusty, wood hints, caramel sauce and alcohol. It’s full-bodied, warming and softly carbonated, with a vinous alcohol touch. Roasted malts, caramel, coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor. Vinous, lightly woody and with even more coffee. Super-long finish. A bit alcoholic this one, but delicious indeed. 231125
