Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, pale malt, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, grapefruit, fruity hops, melon hops, passion fruit - pineapple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a average to long duration, hoppy, grapefruit, super dry, pale malt, floral hops, fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160326]

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh grassy, leafs, wet grass, hops, citrus peel, minerals, light malts, hay, bark, flowers, fruit stones, pepper corn. Taste is slightly concentrated harsh grass, leafs, weeds, bark, hops, lawn, flowers, citrus peel, minerals, fruit stones. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Hazy gold beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and finely crisp. Thin malts, not that sweet, Bitter start to the hops, a bitter dry greeness which fades as the beer warms up a little. A range of complex flavours ensues with nothing really dominating. Perhaps it’s the power of suggestion but I could taste a little strawberry as described on the label. An overarching bitterness remains. Spicy hop finish. Interesting beer and really quite hard to pin down, the flavours keep shifting. Would like to try another of these. Fascinating Captain!

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a hazy golden body under a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is pineapple-ish and citrusy with some faint grassy hints. Pineapple. Not much maltyness going on. It’s full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, dry and with a little warmth. Bitterness, grapefruit, pineapple and citrus zest, with some pale malt notes and sweetness hints. Not that it’s sweet though. Everlasting bitter finish with pine cones, pineapple and grapefruit. A quite lovely one, deliciously bitter and the use of new hops are very interesting. 160402
