Disig lys brun med hvitt skum. Lukter barnål og sitrus. Mer sitrus og grapefrukt i smaken. Noe tørr i avslutningen.

440ml can, #613, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pours a near-clear golden-yellowish body under a stable, bubbly white head leaving clingy lacing down the glass. Promising citrus aromas, lemon and grapefruit, mid-dry. Tasty with a fine blend of citrus, herbal hops and soft malty backbone. Pine needles to a nice bitter fruity finish. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Tromsø, 01.01.2024).

Stråfarget, Nesten klar. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Litt søt parfymearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken tørr. En del sitrusfrukt - i retning grapefrukt. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning.

Can. 2023 vintage. A clear pale golden colored beer with a small white head. Piney, perfumed aroma with a touch of pale malts. It’s dry and full-bodied, with a good bitterness. Pine cones, citrus zest, some orange and a touch of pale malts in the flavor. Medium length finish. A summer beer, nothing related to Christmas going on here, except a touch of orange. 440 ml can, as Salikatt Christmas on Fire West Coast IPA, from Vinmonopolet Sola. Vintage is not printed on the can, but the ABV is 7.5%, so it must be the 2023. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of orange marmalade and citric hops, a hint of woodwork. 0,44 boks fra julenissens utsalg på Kilden, hjemme. Til 22-utgaven noterte jeg bl.a. citrus (særlig grapefrukt)og furunål/eukalyptus som hovedelementer. I år finner jeg i tillegg litt beske urter, kvae og hint av pepper. Tørrere enn i fjor og bitterheten er solid, men det er også maltkroppen. Som alltid hos Salikatt har den et tydelig preg av mersmak, utseendet er upåklagelig, og vitamininnholdet varmer i skrotten. Hurra for min rating nr. 200 fra dette kvalitetsbryggeriet!
