A 33 cl bottle acquired at a Vinmonopolet on our tour through Norway early this year. My Delirium Noel snifter at the ready, I do the pour. A dark red-brown body completed by a thin buff tan head. I smell caramel, baked bread, ripe fruit and a indication of spices. I take a drink now. Raisins, malt, dark fruit, some spiciness, toffee and bit of chocolate. A decent quad, glad to sample it as I am a fan of the style.

Dark brown-amber colour and small brownish head. Gingerbread and caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of xmas spices, Belgian yeast, figs and caramel in the flavour. Alcohol too. A bit rough. Vinmonopolet Kirkenes.

Deep brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is toffee, some spicy tones with a nice Belgo-spiciness to it. Flavour is toffee, mild spiciness as well as some chocolaty tones. Also some bitterness.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear deep amber body under a small beige head. Aroma is malty with bread, mild caramel, hint of dry fruit and red berries. Taste is balanced, sweet malt, bread, light caramel, red berries, just a faint hint of dry fruit, herbal yeast, moderate bitterness and well masked alcohol. Balanced body with a nice, malty aftertaste. Nice and somehow a bit complex, at least quite many flavors in taste. Not the most typical quad but not closer to anything else either. I was a bit surprised and found it difficult to rate the first bottle, but luckily, I had another. The second one where served a lot colder, about 6-8 degrees and I think that suits the beer best. Enjoyable.

Luke 15 i min hemmelige (?) adventskalender, delt med meg selv: lett uklar rødlig mahognyfarge med ok skum. Velgjørende anslag av røde bær, tørkede frukter og madeira, samt litt urter (for helsens skyld) og sjokolade. Fint karbonert, og det høye innholdet av humørfremmende virkestoffer gir raskt et lite bluss på lampa.

Smell of sweet malt, raisins, spices. Dark bronze colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, clove, other spices, raisins. Lively carbon. Very sweet. Somewhat dry palate.
