All beers are equal, but some beers are more equal than others.
To help you contemplate this and the other of life’s paradoxes, Amaro is here. An imperial stout aged in Amaro casks, it’s rich and sweet and warming and absolutely everything you want a stout like this to be. The perfect nightcap at the end of a hard (or very easy) day, get hold of this before the barrels run dry.

Near clear dark brown beer, a good and reasonably persistent bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft, decent superfine carbonation on the back end. Soft dark malts, soft but with pleasing dark malt cream and mild chocolate. The Amaro barrel imparts its herbal thang, whisper of amaretto for me, on the edge of perception. Soft ripe fruits and a touch of cappuccino cream froth. More herb on the back end. Never gets medicinal. Nicely done. Another reminder of why Brewdog became huge before they forgot who they were and fucked it all up!

Nagy, tartós, barna hab, fekete szín. Édeskés, kávés, vaníliás, csokis, kissé mandulás, hordós illat. Édes, csokis, kakaós, enyhén poros és mandulás, aszalt gyümölcsös, hordós ízvilág, némi gyógynövényes vonással. Az alkoholt jól elrejtették. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, alig keserű. Nagyon finom, jól kiegyensúlyozott desszertsör.

Clear dark brown pour with a lasting tan head. Aroma is slightly boozy, cream, raisins, herbs, malt, roasted cocoa. Taste is herbs, nuts, malt/grain, cream/milk - nice bitter aftertaste. A bit all over the place Not a fan of maltodextrin in my beers, tbh.

33cl fles, dank Manon! Zwarte kleur, bruine kraag. Boozy, rode appel, brownie, amandel, hint van spiritus, glad maar ook dun, ongelooflijk boozy voor een 9.5% RIS. Barrel Aged? Matig.
