This Belgian-style pale ale is our vision for a light, flavorful, refreshing, and lower alcohol Belgian-style ale. We use the addition of coriander seeds and two different kinds of orange peel to add complex citrus notes to the spicy fermentation character of our house Belgian yeast.

From a 355ml bottle on 21/3/2017. Pours a clear light golden with a small head. The aroma features a light dose of Belgian yeast and spice. Taste wise, there’s mild sweet fruit, more Belgian yeast and spiciness, and more than a bit of wit about it - it has a fair bit of coriander and banana at the back. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very pleasant drinking.

Tap at Before 9. Cloudy orange-gold with a fine, low head. Lemony, spicy nose, wheat, crackers. Quite grainy malt flavor, oranges, apricot, nice spicy Belgian yeast. Decent.

Bottle, bottled 11.2016 (from boxbeers). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is classic Belgian - sweet, fresh fruits, esthers, floral notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, floral notes, some citrus, wheat. Body is on the thin side. Overall: very well made, classic Belgian, maybe a bit boring.

Tap at Before 9. An opaque golden orange with a yeasty fruit & spice aroma. The body is quite full and smooth. The raspy carbonation delivers a spicy orange belgian flavor. A solid brew.

355ml bottle. Barely clear, brass colour with small to average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, fruity aroma, notes of apricot, fig, kiwi fruit, orange zest, honey, mild yeasty spiciness, clove, coriander, a minimally bready and grassy touch. Taste is slightly sweet malty, minimally dry hoppy, notes of apricot, hints of honey, a grassy touch, mild orange zesty bitterness. Slightly narrow and restricted. Very clean, as one would expect from an Alesmith brew; too clean for a Belgian Ale.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours cloudy deep golden color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, coriander, dried fruit, biscuit, toasted malt and cherry liqueur. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy and a bit papery, following is yeasty, citrussy, herbal and mild medicinal, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average to lively carbonation in palate. Feels tastier than majority of original Belgian ales...

Bottle, 355 ml from shop in Maribor. Shared with JFK10000. Pours hazy golden, small white head. Malty, fruity, sweet, citrus, bit spicy, yeasty. Medium bodied and carbonation. Nice, decent brew, nothing spectacular.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, bubblegum, wheat. Medium body, yeast, wheat, clove, light dry finish.

Pear nose. Reasonably clear amber, medium head. Pear, sweet creme, lemon zest. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Not super complex, but tasty.
