Can. I think the head is a bit lighter in color than the regular version, else it's the same more or less black body and some lacing. The head might be a bit smaller too, but that can be caused by the glass. The aroma has a distinct boozy touch from the barrels, slightly oaked, with the same dark scents found in the non-barreled version, except all seems a bit toned down. Roasted malts, licorice, dark dried fruit, some charcoal and coffee. It's full-bodied and warming, softly carbonated and semi-dry with a gentle roasted malts kind of bitterness. Or coffee-bitter. Roasted malts, burnt and peated notes, espresso, licorice and dark dried fruit in the flavor. Some oak and booze too. The booze is quite delicious actually, and goes on for a really long time. A delicious one indeed. Not sure if I prefer this or the regular version, I scored them 4.0 both of them, but this one is more for a quiet time in the favorite chair, while the regular was dangerously easy drinkable. 240405

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Compact fawn-coloured head that laced quite well, black in the glass. Promising smell of roasted brown malts, semi-sweet. Mixed taste profile of chocolate-coffee, oat, bread and dark fruits. Oaky. Drying dark malt-driven close, slightly peaty. Decent, not that well balanced though.
