Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn at Colmore. Bubbly white head, next-to-clear golden body, dotted spots on the glass. Moderate smell of herbal hops and pale malts. Hints of orange, grass, and earthy malts to the flavour character. Short slightly diluted, end. Okay. (Birmingham 13.02.2023).

On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Clear gold (surprise) body, lasting white head. Fairly hoppy nose, tropical notes in the taste as well. Not much of a mild, but a decent tasty pale nonetheless.

Cask at EBF Autumn 22. Aroma is sweet and citrusy. Clear gold. Massive foamy white head. Big citrusy streak, with spice. Lemon juice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Need to investigate what a Golden Mild actually is. Had one a while back and don't remember it be a hoppy Pale type beet like this.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. The first thing to note is that this is a “golden” / light mild – but RateBeer doesn’t recognise that as a style. Pours a bright chrome yellow with a small white head and good lacing. There’s a vague aroma of orange squash – nothing more. In the mouth it is sweet with malts to the fore. At the same time though there is a tanginess with oranges and piney hops, plus traces of nuts. Later on a little bitterness creeps in. Finish is slightly dry. This is decent – but I’m not sure what qualifies it t be a mild ?

Cask at the brewery. Light gold. Loose white foam. Nose has biscuit malt. Light grassy hop. Some yeasty notes. Taste is a little sweet. Moderate bitterness. Light bodied. Short finish. If it wasn’t marketed as a golden mild I’d have thought it a blonde ale.
