Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 13/10/2022. Deep golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. Some stone fruits, floral hops, sweet malts, and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Half-pint, festival cask ale, after breakfast at S. Fawler & Co (JDW) in Ryde. Shared with Finn. Clear golden-brown body, covering pearl white head, spotty lacing. Moderate smell of dusty hops and bread. Berry-fruits to the taste buds, grainy malts beneath. Prolonged ending of berries and fruits. Satisfying. (Ryde, IoW, 20.10.2022).

Pours a lightly hazed golden colour with a small, mostly lasting, foamy white head. The aroma is malty, sour dough bread and light fruit. A moderately sweet taste, bready malt, light straw and sweet orchard fruit flavours with a hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Cask @ Manchester & County, aka Wetherspoon Piccadilly, Manchester. Slightly darker clear golden ale with thick head. Session strength mildly bitter-sweet brew - easy and pleasant enough.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s summer fruits and some malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and fruity but after a while it becomes increasingly bitter with a blend of traditional and floral hops, plus apples and other autumn fruits. Quite nice.

[ Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; aroma of red fruit; dry in the mouth with a fruity taste; and some orange to finish. Very drinkable.
