Docktoberbier is a strong hefeweizen style beer brewed with barley and wheat, fermented with a wheat beer yeast giving a fruity banana flavour. Mittlefruh, Tettnang and Kazbek hops lighten the flavour with spicy, grassy notes. Specially brewed for Docktoberfest at Docks Beers

1/3 pint, on keg at Docks Beer. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer leaving rings of lace on the glass, pale golden body white a wheat haze. Moderate wheat fruity nose. Similar taste of fruity wheat together with mild banana sweetness, lightly spiced. Ends mid-sweet, wheat fruity. Okay version of the a hefeweizen. (Grimsby 15.10.2022).

Keg @ Docks Beers, Grimsby. Misty straw gold appearance, thin white head. Initially assumed this to be the saison out of three thirds I bought, which came across like a weissbier, whereas this tasted and looked more like a light crisp saison. Very strange. Definitely unusually light with the doughy yeast notes, quite thin and not really a hefeweizen but nicely refreshing for what it is.
