Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 16/10/2022. Copper-red in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. red berries, toffee notes, a touch of toastiness in the ripe malts, leafy hops and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Nice tasty and easy drinkable red ale Hazed ruby in the glass and a fine head Ok intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and a mellow carbonation level Bready, fruity, malty and some toffee in the flavor [On tap at The Old English Pub in Copenhagen, Denmark]

1/3 pint, festival beer, cask at Joseph Else (JDW). Shared with Finn. Dissipating beige head, deep ruby body, clingy lacing. Bread-like malts on the nose, scent of caramel. Malt-forward flavours of liquorice, dark caramel and a bite of dark fruits. Bittersweet tail. Quite pleasing (Nottingham 12.10.2022).

Cask @ Waterhouse, Manchester. Wetherspoon Autumn Beer Festival Ale 2022. Clear mahogany coloured brew with earthy autumnal malts to that are evident in both aroma and taste as an addition to the notably regular Hobgoblin taste and bitterness.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A bright chestnut coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; toffee aroma; taste of red berries to start; then cinder toffee; with some sharp damson to finish. Rather acidic.

Cask (gravity) at Thomas Leaper, Derby Pours a dark ruby with minimal off-white head. The aroma just has a vague fruitiness. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with autumn fruits mixed with malts and red wine gums. Some hints of spcies after a while too, and these are more pronounced in the finish. Quite nice – I’d certainly drink it again.

Delt med Rune. Mørk amber. Tilløp til skum. Klar. Sammensatt fruktaroma. Smaken nøtter & søt frukt. Litt bitterhet i en søt, fruktig avslutning.
