I've had a couple of beers from Drowned Lands before, liked them somewhat. This evening I will taste from a pint can bought from Half Time recently. There is a snifter ready to go and I make the pour. The appearance is a hazy light yellow body finished by a thin cover of absolutely white foam. A decent nose on this one, tropical, citrus, grain and wide open meadow. The drink is likewise decent. Grapefruit, a hint of papaya, something floral, grass, lemon peel and a soft hoppy bitterness. A tolerably all right IPA, one could do worse or better.

Can. Color: Very hazy orange, white head. A lot of tiny particles floating around in the glass. Aroma: Grassy and citrus hop. Taste: Quite complex hoppy. Mix of (overripe) melon, mango, orange, floral hop, some grass and wet leaves. Dense and smooth, almost a bit creamy, biscuit malt base. Herbal hints. Dry-ish and bit zesty, fruity bitterness at the finish. Moderate to over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium body, average carbonation. One more very nice beer from Drowned Lands. Making IPA's with a unique twist...

Drowned Lands Early Leaf Double IPA 8.4% Orange gold color with thin wispy white foam. Rich orange blossoms with a sharp boozy alcohol edge. Fairly full bodied with fruity notes and sharp boozy edges. Alright. Glad I got to try a few from these guys last night. They were a new to me brewery.
