English hopped beer made from a blend of solely three year old brews, produced in January and April 2020. The beers were made from turbid mashes using pilsner, wheat and rye malts. The resulting wort was boiled with aged hops, before spontaneous fermentation in old white Burgundy barrels. The blend focused on building a perfect base for an addition of wonderfully complex, but relatively subtle English-grown hops. We aimed for a balance of spicy and fruity aromatics, with nothing too characterful to obscure the incoming dry-hop, underpinned by a moderate acidity with just enough volatile acid to give it some life. The blend was dry-hopped with undried "Low Carbon" hops from Brook House Farm, up the road in Herefordshire.

Bottle online from the source. Pours mildly hazed orange gold wityh the usual ample Mills white froth. Funky/musty nose. Spritzy. Super clean. Mid tartness. Sour lemon, crab apple vibes. Quite geuze-y but maybe a tad sweeter.

0,75l bottle at home. yellow hazy color, medium big white head. smells hay, earthy, tobacco, funky, chessy, nice to very nice smell. full body, spritzy carbonation. tastes cheesy, funky, hay, oak, peppery, subtle minerals. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of funky, oak and earthy notes. Very nice one.

Bottle, 750 ml shared with Luka, MiroB and Cvrle. Cloudy orange with small white head. Lots of funk, peach, hops, juicy, barrel, white grapes. Medium sourness, some bitterness. Surprised it's that good.

Bottle. Mills online. Lightly hazed medium gold. Good white froth. All about the white wine barrel this. Oaky twang. Grape skin. Lovely hoppage. Floral and herby. Super clean tangy bitterness. Twangy and a touch funky. Lovely. Hop character is up front. Be nice to see where this ends up.
