One-third on tap, sample tray at Hammerton taproom. Covering beige head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, black body with a deep ruby glint. Inviting coffee-chocolate aromas, nicely roasted. Moments of chocolate, earth, and nuts to the taste character followed by a backdrop of coffee. Smooth, roasted end. Pretty decent easy drinking stout (London, 08.12.2023).
