Boozy! Cognac barrels might have been half full when the beer was added. Cognac and woody tastes on a nice red ale. Dry, malty. Cookies!

Bottle shared by Wickedestman. Dark amber with a small beige head. Big punchy alcohol, raisins, malt and caramel. Super boozy. Harsh mouthfeel. Drain pour.

Bottle with stupid wax cap (batch 211). Pours amber-copper. Aroma is fruits, apples, booze, cognac, booze. Flavor is sweet and bitter, cognac, malt, booze. Overall: why did someone pour beer in my cognac?!

33cl bottle at Speakeasy, Tallinn. Pours slighly hazy deep amber with an almost non-existing head. Immediate aroma of cognac followed by some dried fruits, alcohol, oak and caramel. Sweet, very sweet, possibly more than the original. Feels cognacy and fairly boozy, not so much left from the original beer as the barrel aging is now dominant. But at least tannins are providing some balance. Not as good as the other barrel aged in the cellar series from Põhjala, but still decent. --- Beer merged from original tick of Batch Zero Cognac BA (Cellar Series) on 11 May 2016 at 19:01 - Score: 7
