20.12.2024, 0,5l can @ home:
Nice bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, clear dark amber color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish grainy, caramel malt, fruit stones, roasted grain, hay, toast, chocolate, grass, hints of vanilla. Taste is harsh metallic, bark, metal tank, fruit stones, minerals, grass, sour-ish roasted grain, hay, toast, paper. Medium to longlasting bitterness, waery and harsh metallic mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

A really nice and tasty Norwegian grocery store beer. Dark pour and a fine head. Ok lacing. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Mellow sweetness and a decent bitterness. Fine carbonation level. Toffee, fruity, bready and some chocolate in the flavor. [Can from Kenneth]

500 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of malts and caramel, a hint of mild Christmas spices. The flavour is not too sweet - malts, caramel and mild spices again, a hint of smoke, moderate hops. Decent mouthfeel for a 4.5% beer. A good choice if you want a shot of aquavit at the side.

Can. An unclear brown beer topped by a nice creamy, dark beige head. Cute lacing. The aroma is quite malty, with bread crust, toffee and dark dried fruit hints, and chocolate and coffee hints. Coffee grit sour hints too. It's medium bodied and softly carbonated, with some sweetness. Roasted malts, coffee grit sourness and bitterness, toffee and some dark chocolate, and some dark dried fruit. Quite lasting finish. Suffers from the ABV this one, but it's sure not bad at all. 231118

500ml can, #1741, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Bodø. Creamy, fawn-coloured head slowly diminishing over a rustic, dark brown body, spotty lacing. Black chocolate malty aromas, nicely roasted, promising. Dark malt-driven flavours of black chocolate and caramel. Roasted malt bitter finish. Easy to drink and a bit thin on the palate. Pretty good. (Bodø Panorama, 14.11.2023).
