Can. A small beige head forms over an almost clear dark brown body. The aroma has lots of roasted malts and oats, some chocolate and coffee, and a burnt touch. Some molasses and prune. It's full to medium bodied and lightly warming, pleasantly carbonated and semi-dry, with some bitterness. Seems there's both hoppy bitterness and roasted/burnt malt bitterness here. Quite chocolatey flavor, especially in the finish, with oats, roasted malts, coffee grit, cocoa notes and some brown sugar. Long finish. Rather messy this one, but it kinda works. 241223

01.12.2023, 0,44l can @ home:
Big bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, toast, sour-ish roasted grain, cocoa, minerals, alcohol, bark, soil, hints of burnt coffee. Taste is harsh sour-ish roasted, soil, sour-ish roasted grain, alcohol, bark, bloodlike minerals, burnt toast, cocoa, metal tank, hints of burnt coffee. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Centaurus A Imperial Stout, from Vinmonopolet Sola. ABV is 10.6%. Dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla and roast malts. Medium sweet flavour, chocolate, vanilla and roast malts again, hints of mild coffee and liquorice, moderate bittering hops.

440ml can, B#384, bought at Vinmonopolet Drammen CC. Tan coloured head over a deep dark brown body, crocheted lacing. Promising smell of cocoa powder. Fine blended taste of cocoa-chocolate, nuts, liquorice, and a hint of prunes. Slightly roasted dark malty ending. Does not taste that strong. Tasty nightcap (Hotel room, Tønsberg 29.10.2023).
