Heavy dark beer to drink as a night cap or during the night shift. Lactose counters the malt bitterness and creates a dangerously drinkable milk stout.

Explosive cream-coloured head, filling the glass over a very small amount of dark red copper to cola coloured beer, clear in first instance. Vinous, with some aromatic spices. Wood, chocolate, dry sausageskins, cardboard, and very obviously lactose. Dry chocolate/dry wood; in the background pine needles and liquorice. Quite slick, at least meadium bodied, very (too) well-carbonated. Tergiversates between different styles (oud bruin, dubbel,...) but the one aimed at - stout - is the least likely. Nor is it black. Txs to Stef!
