Boogie Monster

Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

IPA - Imperial New England / Hazy Rotating Out of Production
Score
7.42
ABV: 8.0% IBU: - Ticks: 18
Boogie Monster emerged as an early double IPA in our line up, and as a foil to our beloved Witchshark. Characterized by haze, soft body, and berry/grape notes (as opposed to Witchshark's pine/citrus), it's a great option for those seeking hop variety or rare beasts.

What it smells and tastes like: Hazy from our intense hopping rate and fruity as ever, with notes of green grape, fuzzy peaches, and blueberry. Scarily drinkable.

Bottle from the brewery. A very piney, catty aroma. Reminds me alot of DFH 60, with alot more malts and alcohol. This is a big beer, the alcohol is evident, and the malts are chewy. The hops are quite pungent and catty, with a nice candy, juicy citrus finish. The bitterness is quite intense, and lingers.

Tap ar Bar Hop Brewco, Toronto.
Murky yellow colour, good white head and lace. Hop pellety, a bit perfumic juicy-fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Pineapple, mango juicy flavour but lots of pelletyness also plus some hints from hopburn. Finish is juicy and danky.

Keg at the brewery. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Good lacing. Aroma of orange, pineapple and mango. Flavour of pineapple and grass. Medium body with an oily texture. Very easy to drink for the ABV. Bellwoods certainly know how to get the best out of hops.
