330 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 36. Brewed with rhubarb syrup and Voss kveik. Hops are Warrior, Columbus, Mosaic, Fuggles and Nelson Sauvin. Orange colour, large white head. Aroma of rhubarb, hints of fruity hops. Soft mouthfeel. Refreshing flavour, notes of rhubarb and citrus, easy drinking.

Bottle. An unclear orange beer with an offwhite head. Orange, farmhouse, forest hints and a generic fruityness in the aroma. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, mostly on the dry side. Some bitterness. The flavor has the same orange and forest notes found in the aroma, with some acidity and pale malts. Rye-like spiced hints. Rather short finish. A quite pleasant kveik beer, although not as complex as many other kveik beers. 200501

Bottle from Gulating. Unclear golden body with a huge, lasting off-white head. Aroma has malt, bread and quite much yeast. Not able to recognize any specific kveik variety or esters really, this smells a lot like baking yeast. Taste is sweet malt and bread, but there is also a hint of something more acidic. I did not read rhubarb at the label when tasting and did not recognized this as rhubarb either, my notes sad acidic berries and gooseberry. There is also a hint of some ripe fruit here, perhaps plum but his was not very distinct. Reading the label, I also found a nice selection of hop varieties, but this is neither to be recognized in flavor, they seem to be hidden behind the yeast flavor. Bitterness feels moderate. Medium body, feels quite balanced and aftertaste is exactly like the rest and quite yeasty. It’s a drinkable beer, but I miss some distinctiveness and a more obvious direction flavor wise. This beer is not highlighting the kveik and both the fruit and hop flavor is very discreet. Without knowing anything about this, it might be any kind of homebrew served me before year 2000. Still, not bad at all, just nothing special in any direction.
