This wonderful combination of two famous cider varieties has returned, and this time we have a highly aromatic, sweet scented cider which has been bottled young to capture those ripe sugars, pillowy tannins and excellent vintage fruit qualities from the 2022 season.

Unlike the previous iteration of this blend from Wilding in 2019 which was much drier, this vintage showed from the early stages that it wasn't going to continue its fermentation to the very end. It has been bottled with residual sweetness, the exceptional nature of the vintage really comes to the fore, showing marmalade and kumquat character rather than Dabinett's usual orange flesh, and stewed strawberries rather than Foxwhelp's usual fresh strawberry.

The cider is sweet and rich but has the tannin and acid to balance that out. A real gastronomic cider.

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Hazed orange golden colour, white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fleshy, fruit, citric, strawberry hints, funk. Taste is sweet, apple, fruity, juicy, kumquat, marmalade, with stewed strawberry notes, some balanced acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
