Made with fruit from Little Shepherds orchard, which is just over in the next valley and within our parish. It's the closest orchard apart from our own and correspondingly close to our hearts, providing as it does a great blend of varieties that always produces something special. Especially in 2022: we usually sweeten batches from Little Shepherds but year's is so smooth and well finished that adding anything would take something away. So its our first "dry shepherd". How do you keep a shepherd dry? You provide a shelter from the storm... kudos if you spot the culture reference.
Anticipate a big acid hit, smoothly acidic with floral notes balanced with a full mouth feel and a satisfyingly long finish provided by the cider apples. Lot's going on making this a cider to savour.

330ml stubbie bottle from Bignose & Beardy. Orange golden colour, no head and aroma of apple, fruits. Taste is tart, tangy, apple, fleshy, with mellow citric acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
