Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 04/09/24. Mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that escapes to the edge. Nose is liquid fruit cake, boozey whisper, spice, dark malts, toffee, candied orange peel. Taste comprises dates, caramel, spice, booze tunes, mollastic notes, toasted brown sugar, orange brandy bite. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy BA BW ... orange brandy makes itself known but is well integrated.

Heerlijk rozijntjes : boerenjongens moutzoetig, sinaasappel, redelijk alcoholisch, wellicht iets dun qua textuur, maar wat een heerlijk aroma en basis smaken, prima

Bottle at home from RAD Deep caramel brown colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are toffee, and malty sweet with citrus. Full boozy body.

7th August 2024 A light haze on this amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head, doesn't last. A smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft but viscous malts, caramel, not that sweet, and cream. Mild alcohol spice. The orange brandy, not quite as obvious as I was expecting but, still easily identifiable and very well integrated with the viscous malts. As the beer warms up there is more of a caramel Grand Mariner vibe. Superior, glad I have a 2nd bottle of this.

So glad I got another bottle of this, addictive brown sugar and caramel with mellow Grand Mariner. Creamy malt base throughout. Yeah this beer sucks. What I really mean is I am sticking hard on it.

Bottle shared at tasting. Brownish color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sticky resinous brownish candy sugar, brandy. Absolutely delicious barley wine with a full body and sticky texture. Phenomenal.

Bottle. Menno Olivier, former brewer of De Molen is back! High expectations... Color: Clear amber to copper, very thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, toffee and fruity orange, boozy hints. Taste: Full body, low carbonation. Malty, sweetish, bit sirupy, dark dried fruit, caramel toffee, orange, some orange zest, boozy. Over medium sweet, moderate bitterness. A bit too sweet and sticky 5for me, but nice one overall, brings back some memories of the good old De Molen beers... Keep going, Menno!
