Hells is the lovechild of our two favourite German beer styles - Helles and Pilsner. Clean, crisp and dry, it’s the beer we always wanted to drink and the reason we started our brewery. We hope you agree.

Lett. Noe metallisk smak, sitrusbitter avslutning.

(Draught at King’s Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 25 Nov 2016) Pale golden colour with creamy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, cereal and hay. Malty taste with bread, grass, cereal, some vanilla and a gentle grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well made, but a bit generic. Enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Genuinely this is a very bad beer, quite surprised how bad to be honest. Watery, grassy bitterness mixing strangely with helles sweetness. Grim. Tastes like a very cheap macro lager, would opt for a Carlsbef over this anytime and save the cash! Bottle from Systembolaget. I was maybe a bit harsh on Camden Hells last time as this time it was a bit fresher and i understood where the pilsner bitterness came from. This said, it is is still barely different from usual macrolagers and i stand by the over all sentiment. 1.2 to 1.7.
