This complex oatmeal porter is is brewed with judicious amounts of Crystal and Munich malts for a dark, robust, and chewy experience. As black as coal that fueled locomotives for generations. Go ahead and jump on the night train. Enjoy!

Bottle. Nose is smokey, vanilla,, hint of coffee, chocolate. Taste follows, with rich dark chocolate, vanilla, smoke, charcoal, cream, coffee icecream and a lightly bitter licorice finish. Rich mouthfeel. A really lovely beer.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, from Alko, 20160212) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had burnt malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A nicely done solid porter.

A colablack beer, a head is small and yellowish beige. Aroma has chocolate, roastiness of coffee and sweetness of lactose. Taste has roastiness, fruitness of hops, simple. Only medium bodied, more strenght body would be needed. Easy to enjoy and nice beer but the final touch is missing.

12 fl Oz bottle from Alko. Pours near black with a thick brown head. Looking great. Licorice candy, sweetness, milky smoothness. Roasted malt, more licorice, hops in flavor. The sweet licorice really makes this beer come alive. Long slightly dry and roasty finish. Surprisingly thin for 7%.
