Pours black, no head. Scent is roasty, barrel and chocolate. Taste is sticky, sweet chocolate, boozy, roasty. Dark chocolate essence. loads of barrel.

Bottle. Black colour, pretty much no head. Aroma is milk chocolate, roast, some mild cacao powder with mild alcohol tones. Flavour is milk chocolate, some alcohol, mild cacao and a bit dried fruits to it. Rather strong burning sweetness in the finish.

--Bottled. -- Black, minimal dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate sauce. Really sweet with full body and mildly viscous mouthfeel. Tastes like vanilla ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce and a whiff of cognac. Warming sticky finish. Infantile and simplistic stuff, although perhaps on the top end of pastry stouts.

Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, vanilla. cocoa, cognac, chocolate, barrel, caramel - dark malt. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy and sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20240418]
