Our first BA stout from the church going into bottles. A labour of love and my favorite Omnipollo stout to date. This massive beer started its journey in Richmond over four years ago at THE VEIL. We brewed a huge imperial stout that spent years going between Laird’s apple brandy barrels, BLiS maple syrup barrels and various bourbon barrels. Last year our BFF Matt Tarpey (The Veil) joined us at the church to brew another huge imperial stout. This was then blended with the BA Richmond brewed stout in 50/50 proportion and transferred into Buffalo Trace bourbon, Laird's apple brandy barrels and BLiS maple syrup barrels here at the church for another 16 months. Finishing treatment on toast/raw coconut and Ugandan vanilla beans for 3 months.

Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, chocolate syrup, coffee, some bourbon, wood, alcohol and mild spoiciness to it. Flavour is pretty much having the same elements, but the alcohol gives it a really strong and quite unpleasant sting.

375ml bottle. Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma of roast malts, vanilla, chocolate, roast, and a lot of different barrels. Taste is very rich, sweet, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, maple, bourbon, brandy, and yes there's a lot of booze, and yes it's also very bitter. Huge mix of bittersweet flavours here. Incredible stuff.

--Bottled. -- Viscous black, no head - pours like a mix of syrup and soy sauce. Aroma of soy sauce and syrup. Ludicrously sweet with gooey mouthfeel and massive body. Tastes like oaked syrup and soy sauce. Neither nice, nor physically drinkable.

Smooth, oily and thick with some roastiness, chocolate sauce, loads of barrel and oaky bourbon notes, vanilla and cocoa. Quite tasty and balanced barrel chocolate awesomeness

ABV: 17.1%. Clear dark black colour with a small, virtually no head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark malt, bourbon - barrel. Flavor is heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, cocoa, bourbon, barrel, bourbon - vanilla. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20240313]

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, coconut, fudge cake, caramel, wood, brandy, taste is similar, chewy, vanilla, hides the booze well.
