(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 20 July 2024) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of bread, dark fruit, prunes and chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, prunes, raisins, wort bread and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Bottled Sept. 23. Pours a mostly clear dark brown body and a dense off white head with fair retention. Aroma's: malts, a bit roasted, light fruit. Retronasal it's sweetish, light roasted, the usual BT mossy yeast (albeit fairly subtle). Flavour is light moderate bitter, light sweet, with a hint of sour. Light bodied, but not too thin. Biterness increases in the finish. Pretty good.

Bottle. Color: Dark copper, beige head. Aroma: Caramel malt, bread. Taste: Caramel malt, barley malt, bread and light roasted toast, herbal, some yeast and hints of leather, hints of raisins and figs. Dry mouthfeel. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Herbal / grassy hop backbone with light hints of citrus fruit.. Smooth and very dry finish. Moderate sweet and moderate bitterness, going to over moderate bitterness at the finish. Craftmanship! Well brewed!
