An IPA brewed with Zumo & Mosaic hops
Each hop harvest is an opportunity for the mad scientists of the hop industry to introduce their newest experiments. Zumo is a thrilling new hop from the folks at Segal Ranch, named aftera Spanish term for citrus zest. Its vibrant lime characteristic hooked us immediately, and it was time for us to do a little experimentation of our own. We found out that Mosaic hops, when taking a backseat in the recipe for once, truly elevated Zumo’s flavor to monstrous levels of refreshing zestiness. Now we’re certified Zumologists.

Hazy golden. Aroma is prickly pear mango lime nad other tropic fruit with some jam and toast malt. Taste is rather sweet with only a late and minor bitter hop kickback. Very yeasty and oatmealy on the tongue. Still rather balanced. Alright.

opalescent golden colour, moderate sized ecru-ish white head; aroma of pine resiny, grapefruity, grape (peels), some orange peels, peachy and some grainy notes; hop-dominant taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great IPA!

Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some zesty and mild nectary and some biscuity and caramelly tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, asskicking bitterness with some sweet malty tones.

35,5cl can from Systembolaget, Stockholm. Pours clear golden with a white head. Hoppy and fruity with citrus and hints of pale malt and green grapes. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity. Quite drinkable.

12 fl oz can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange gold, medium transparent, with limited fine white foam. Aroma is intensely hoppy, piney. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is rather bitter and persistent in the final.

A golden beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness of citrus, some flowers and fruitness of mango. Taste has citrus, mango, mandarin, flowers. Medium bodied. Good.
