An IPA brewed with Zumo & Mosaic hops

Each hop harvest is an opportunity for the mad scientists of the hop industry to introduce their newest experiments. Zumo is a thrilling new hop from the folks at Segal Ranch, named aftera Spanish term for citrus zest. Its vibrant lime characteristic hooked us immediately, and it was time for us to do a little experimentation of our own. We found out that Mosaic hops, when taking a backseat in the recipe for once, truly elevated Zumo’s flavor to monstrous levels of refreshing zestiness. Now we’re certified Zumologists.

355ml can from Alko.
Poured clear and light orange in color, white head.
Resiny hops mostly on a good malty base. Bitter, dry finish. Not the freshest can but still quite tasty.

Can shared by Ben, thanks! Pours a near clear golden orange with a white head that dissipate to the edges. Aroma has a slightly dry citrus with some bread and a bit of rind coming through. Flavor has slightly earthy and dry citrus with a touch of lime and an earthy grain backbone.

Can purchased and consumed at Walther Mai, München Thursday 20th February 2024. Pours warm gold bordering o. Fanta orange colour, white head. Citrus, notably lemon and lime, quite bitter, zesty and tasting quite fresh considering the can date was 19/07/24. I suspect that with the decision by Stone to stop exporting to Europe, I won't be seeing many more of their beers in the coming months. This is a good beer, drinks easy for the ABC, like it.

Can shared at Benny’s place in KL. Poured a mostly clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The flavour is malt, light toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a crisp, fresh, herbal, light toffee, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
