Medium brown, bright, medium head. Good base, a nice strong brown that’s got some good fruitiness and nice sugars. The rye barrel lends heft, but also a bit of that spiciness. Solid.

Bottle from a Facebook trade with Nate Ryan on the Old Money Tickers group. Thanks for the opportunity! I could smell the barrel as soon as the cap cracked. Rich caramel brown sugar and dark fruits with woody earthy oak that sends hints of vanilla and coconut. Flavor follow the aroma but adds a bit of warming alcohol that is not objectionable in this 12.3% abv beer. Very nice sipper, thanks for the trade Nate

Draft at HomeBrewStuff. Dark brown, skin of off-white head, solid lacing. Sweet aroma, malty. Taste comes alive with big boozy notes and toasty malts, sweet. Simple, but done oh so well. Latent heat.

On tap at Bridge & Tunnel, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels, caramel, and dark fruits. Flavour is boozy, with bourbon barrels, caramel, booze, and some dark sugars. Nice barrel character with a sweet malty, boozy character. Good stuff.
