Can from the LCBO. Slightly hazy medium copper with a large fluffy tan head that hangs around and leaves lots of tight lace. Nose is bread, pine, citrus, pineapple, light caramel. Flavour is a light to medium caramel sweetness that is necessary to support a huge pine resin and tropical fruit bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and stick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish with a hint of citrus tartness. Alcohol could be better hidden but doesn’t distract too much. 8+/4+/7+/4+/17

Hazy gold - amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth with decent fine carbonation. Fairly sweet malts, sweet cream. Bitter pine start to the hops. Mild orange. Hop spice. Touch of tangerine. Dry pith. It’s not the most elegant of DIPAs but it had enough about it that I happily kept sipping away.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a fairly recent release. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of of pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, pine, honey, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice DIPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Sample at the Far Out! Space Tasting #2 on 10/01/2015. Clear amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and grainy malt. The finish moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber orange with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma is full of resinous pine with a bit of sweet grains and a bit of bread underlying. Flavor has a combination of resinous pine and sweet grains with a bit of bitter citrus underlying.
