A collab with Bordeaux based brewers, Brasserie Azimut, this beer epitomizes the memories of the warm days in Southern France when we met each other in March 2018 and decided to collab. A delicious Mint Choc Chip Pale Ale was our representation of us brewers pushing brewing conventions with the connections we had. Packed full of oats, wheat and lactose for body. Then more lactose, cocoa nibs and peppermint for even more flavour. The resulting treat is sweetly enjoyable and complexly flavourful as you get a playful mix of decadent chocolate with a hint of mint as the beer opens up.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Beer Merchants Tap, Hackney Wick. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Pretty novel stuff, a little on the sweet side, with definite mint notes, some light vanilla frosting, pale bread, a little ripening citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced finish, more sweet pale malts, impressions of angel food cake and mint. To be honest, it grew on me.

Keg at BD TH, 06/12/18. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric zest, toasted grains, menthol notes, light bread dough, faint hops, background cocoa sprinkle. Taste carries a trace of mint chocolate chip overriding base pale malts and citrix zest, orange peel, toasted grains, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. So so ... doesn't pull together ... @whelming.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, reasonable smooth and with a decent trailing minerally crispness. Light malts, sweetish. Good creamy and smooth cooling mint. Just light chocolate underneath, but what there is tastes genuine. Smooth orange and orange peel on the finish but still playing second fiddle to the smooth mint. Nicely done. Works well.

330ml bottle. Pours hazy light gold with a medium head. Aroma is coffee, peanut butter and a little mint. Taste has light mint to start and a peanut butter finish. A lottle odd. Creamy mouthfeel.

Definitely mint chocolate chip, however not sure that's really a beer flavor
